Australian e-Research Grid. The e-Research Grid program will research and implement core Grid technologies on APAC and partner's deployed HPC resources, to underpin a broad range of Australian research. The computer science CIs will form collaborative links with international programs, adapting developments to local circumstances. The applications-domain CIs will leverage those into their scientific simulations and databases, using grid integrative techniques and portals. Many CIs participate in ....Australian e-Research Grid. The computer science CIs will form collaborative links with international programs, adapting developments to local circumstances. Many CIs participate in other RNs linking to their motivating applications, enhancing prospects for research and integration. The AustLit resource: supporting research in studies of Australian literary and narrative cultures. AustLit traces the history of Australia’s engagement with the art of story by creating an innovative web-based environment where all aspects of literary history can be explored, analysed and shared. The 2013 program will broaden AustLit’s information base in areas ranging from contemporary multi-lingual publishing to publishing in the colonial era.
Multiobjective Memetic Algorithms for Multi-task Symbolic Regression. This project aims at developing the new generation of symbolic regression methods using a yet unexplored way to represent mathematical functions. We will use memetic algorithms to create mathematical models for symbolic regression. This project aims to determine the best ways to communicate wine research and to design tools to support research adoption. Adoption of research relies on effective use of information and technology by employees. Research into employees’ information practices in the workplace has been conducted in health care, education and other areas; however, the wine industry’s use of information and technology for adoption is unexplored. The project plans to assess the strategies used to share research with winemakers and grape growers (e.g. seminars, websites, social media), from information behaviour or web useability perspectives, to ensure industry needs are met appropriately. This research aims to have a direct and immediate impact on the wine industry. In addition to the immediate impact of new research innovations that will be implemented by our partner wine companies, the project will also change industry-wide approaches to extension.
