Through case studies and theoretical innovation, this project seeks to counter this by showing that the human always has a transcendent quality, one highlighted by humanity's relation to the image.

Given the beleaguered status of international organisations, the postwar universal human rights agenda, and race relations, the history of the ideas of nation, race, and rights is ripe for an analysis that seeks to understand the formative post-Second World War period. Research has demonstrated that attempts to change the sexual and gender orientation of LGBT people do not work, but little is known about their impacts or the extent of their practice in Australia. This project aims to investigate the history, scale and nature of LGBT conversion therapy in Australia. It is difficult to treat, choosing a provider can be confusing, and it is costly for the Government.
