Summary
The severe impact of early childhood dental caries on Aboriginal children highlights the need for the development of evidence-based community oral health strategies which are appropriate to the needs and resources of Aboriginal families and their health care services. This study responds to this need through the evaluation of a family centred oral health strategy developed in consultation with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services which is delivered by Aboriginal Health Workers.

I am a unique veterinarian as I possess a strong and passionate interest in all aspects of aquatic animal health, medicine and pathology and am prepared to dedicate my career to these wonderful creatures to ensure they are healthy, respected and protected.
The AQUAVET I course brings together vets who believe that the profession is in a position to contribute to the wellbeing of aquatic ecosystems and inhabitants. AQUAVET is well-renowned and accepted within the veterinary profession and many of the previous participants have pursued long, meaningful careers in aquatic animal health. This is what I am determined to do! I know that by attending AQUAVET I, I will bring back with me many useful skills, networking connections, the latest and greatest in medical/diagnostic technology and a more detailed knowledge of aquatic animal diseases and husbandry requirements. This scholarship will accelerate my learning and at the end of the course, I will be better educated to impart knowledge to the entire aquatic animal health community in Australia.

The ageing of the medical workforce, combined with more women entering medicine and changes in doctors preferences over their work-life balance, are all likely to have important effects on the ability of health care system to provide good quality and accessible health care. However, there is little knowledge or understanding of how and why doctors make decisions on how many hours they work, their location of work, including working in ....The health workforce is now a key area of government policy. The ageing of the medical workforce, combined with more women entering medicine and changes in doctors preferences over their work-life balance, are all likely to have important effects on the ability of health care system to provide good quality and accessible health care. However, there is little knowledge or understanding of how and why doctors make decisions on how many hours they work, their location of work, including working in rural and remote areas, and decisions to leave the medical workforce and retire. These decisions have important effects on the population�s access to health care and therefore on their health status and quality of care received. The aim of this research is to examine those factors influencing doctors� labour supply decisions through the establishment of the Australian Longitudinal Survey of Doctors (ALSD). The survey will track 5,500 doctors over an initial four year period. The research will provide a rigorous analysis of medical workforce decisions that underpin workforce distribution and the working patterns of doctors. The number of people living with HIV-AIDS in Australia is increasing and ageing, requiring an expert primary care workforce to provide HIV clinical care into the future. Yet the numbers of general practitioners training as s100 prescribers may be insufficient to replace those leaving to retire or change jobs. This study will provide critical and timely evidence for why and how GPs pursue or continue working in HIV medicine in different caseload and geographical settings across Australia.

Chronic musculoskeletal pain is major and concerning public health burden and physiotherapists provide a vital and influential role in managing this problem. High level research has demonstrated effective approaches to managing chronic pain yet there appears to be barriers to implementing such strategies clinically. This project aims to explore these barriers with physiotherapists, devise an intervention to overcome them, and test the feasibility and acceptability of the intervention.

Health workforce governance provides stewardship to the future of health systems. This fellowship study seeks a novel solution to oral health workforce governance and brings the transformative potential to improve coordination and reduce negative impacts of a fragmented oral health care system. A two-way parallel design is planned in England and Australia, best utilising the available methodological expertise and proposing an innovative interdisciplinary approach.
