Illuminating the dark universe. This project aims to measure and explain the dark side of the universe, by performing new theoretical analyses of two groundbreaking surveys. Dark energy and dark matter are amongst the most profound puzzles facing fundamental physics. The Dark Energy Survey expects to discover approximately 3000 supernovae, and using The Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument will measure distances to 30 million galaxies. This project will combine these findings to determine whether dark energy changes with time, narrow the search for a quantum theory of gravity, and complete the standard model of particle physics by measuring the mass of the neutrino, a subatomic particle. My Air Space: the Science of Buildings that Make us Thrive. Nothing is more necessary in human life than the air we breathe, mostly indoors where air quality has been relatively overlooked. This project aims to deliver new science and technology as a foundation for optimising indoor atmospheres to improve health, wellbeing, and comfort.
