Australian Boys: Beyond the Boy Problem. In Australia, most research on boys and boyhood is focused on risk-reduction, representing boys as problems at school, on the streets, or in relationships, with an ambivalent (if not oppositional) relation to feminism. Diversifying Music in Australia: Gender Equity in Jazz and Improvisation. Emerging research demonstrates that the Australian Jazz and Improvisation Cultural Sector is not gender-inclusive and poses career development challenges for diverse communities.
