2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Complete the 5 min survey now by clicking on the link below.

The Evolution Of Symptoms Of Common Mental Disorders Across Adolescence And Young Adulthood

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $292,639.00
    Summary
Mental health is a major public health priority. Mental illness such as depression and anxiety is becoming more common in adolescents and young adults, yet the development of specific symptoms of these disorders is not well understood. The Victorian Adolescent Health Cohort Study evaluates the mental health of nearly 2000 young people at 9 points over 14 years. Establishing which symptoms appear first, when, and for how long, will aid targetting of prevention and intervention programs.

Methamphetamine Clandestine Laboratories: An Analysis Of The Geo-spatial Dynamics Between Ecological Factors, Pharmacists, Pseudo-runners And Related Health Harms.

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $320,891.00
    Summary
Methamphetamine (MA) manufacture in clandestine laboratories (clan labs) presents serious health and environmental risks beyond the impact on MA users. My fellowship seeks to better understand the interplay between the geography and population features of clan lab locations, the role of pharmacists and pseudo-runners in MA manufacture and MA-related harm. This evidence provides critical information for policy and program development aimed at reducing the MA manufacture and MA-related harm.

Eliminating HCV: Statistical Modelling And Health Economic Evaluation In The New DAA Era

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $318,768.00
    Summary
While new generation hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatments are highly efficacious, their high cost means multi-pronged approaches will be needed to reach elimination targets. This project will use statistical and mathematical modelling to inform real world health economic evaluations determine the most cost-effective response. This will inform health policy in Australia and globally.

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $314,644.00
    Summary
This Fellowship will provide innovative, robust evidence of the magnitude of malnutrition and compromised development among children in a large number of low- and middle-income countries and the impact of modifiable social determinants on these profoundly important public health problems. This will inform policy making and the development of effective interventions in disadvantaged groups worldwide.

Revealing How Interactions And Mutation Patterns Among Genes Change In Different Human Tissues By Bioinformatics Tools

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $334,884.00
    Summary
Our understanding of common disease is hampered by the complexity of the human system. The DNA variations found in genome wide association studies of common disease are rarely in the gene coding region. I aim to develop statistical bioinformatic tools to find how the DNA variations affect human disease by taking gene expression as the quantitative phenotype. The results will explain the genetic risk of human common disease, so that better personalized prevention and therapy can be achieved.

Modelling The Evolution Of Hepatitis C Virus By Integrating Large Sequence- And Immunological-databases.

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $289,980.00
    Summary
Two hundred million people are infected with the Hepatitis C virus. There is no vaccine and the rate at which new strains of the virus arise enable it to evade the human immune system. This study aims to decipher how new viral strains are generated and transmitted, thereby enabling the development of new vaccines.
