Prof Buchbinder is a rheumatologist and clinical epidemiologist investigating clinically important and public health relevant questions related to arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions. My research is focused on the prevention; treatment; and improvement in the quality of life of people with eye diseases, in particular those with diabetic retinopathy (DR), the most common complication of diabetes and a blinding eye condition.
