The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your
interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take
approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure
services including Reasearch Link Australia.
We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we
deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research
Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.
Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

The provision of broadband services is a high priority for the Australian government as evidenced by the various initiatives around Australia. The merging of backbone infrastructures for access environment will overcome unnecessary cost of maintaining and upgrading two separate networks for wired and wireless applications. The merged infrastructure will potentially provide inexpensive and cost-effective solutions for truly broadband services with a choice of wired or wireless connectivity to customers and will remove the rural-urban broadband divide that has been challenging Australia. The outcomes of this project can lead to new business ventures and will further strengthen the telecommunication industry.Read moreRead less
Next generation real-time trajectory mining for travel and transportation decision support. Mining human and vehicle trajectories in real time will enable a suite of next-generation applications such as traffic overload prediction, real-time event detection and route recommendation. This project will develop novel techniques for immediate mining of massive volumes of trajectory data as it is being continuously generated.

This project aims to find out whether constitutional design could, and should, be used to make constitutional democracies more resilient. Democratic constitutionalism is facing serious challenges, not only in new fragile democracies, but also older established ones. The project will investigate the role that the constitutional accommodation of salient ethnocultural and ideological groups, the autonomy of non-partisan constitutional watchdog institutions, and the adaptability of the constitution to changing circumstances could play in securing its resilience against serious threats. Relying on conceptual and empirical methods, using case studies from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka, to answer these questions, the project will produce a better understanding of constitutional resilience, and the features that promote it to allow constitution makers and reformers to better protect democracy, human rights and the rule of law. This will provide significant national benefit for Australia as it deepens its engagement with South Asia, and the world more generally.Read moreRead less
Smart comparison and assessment of prediction models for better health using next generation data mining. Prediction models can be used to provide early warning of events, such as adverse medical outcomes. This project will develop principles for the smart management of large collections of prediction models using data mining, enabling more timely medical interventions for Australians to live healthier and longer.
Nonstochastic information flows in networked dynamical systems. Feedback control is a crucial element of manufacturing, vehicular and energy systems, and is needed to guarantee hard performance bounds in safety- and mission-critical environments. Feedback control is a crucial element of manufacturing, vehicular and energy systems, and is needed to guarantee hard performance bounds in safety- and mission-critical environments. When these control systems are implemented over communication networks, the amount of information flowing through them becomes a critical determinant of performance. However, the nonprobabilistic control objectives make standard information theory inapplicable. This project aims to develop a novel, nonstochastic theory of information in order to analyse and design networked dynamical systems that obey worst-case performance limits. This will yield robust, probability-free algorithms for distributed control, filtering and causality inference.Read moreRead less
