The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your
interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take
approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure
services including Reasearch Link Australia.
We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we
deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research
Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.
Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Supplemental Oxygen In Pulmonary Rehabilitation Trial (SuppORT)
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$693,838.00
Summary
Approximately 50% of people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who are referred to pulmonary rehabilitation have a reduction in oxygen during exercise. It is unknown whether providing oxygen during exercise training is beneficial in improving exercise capacity and quality of life in these people with COPD. This national multi-centre research will provide evidence to develop guidelines for the use of oxygen during exercise training in COPD.
Defining The Benefits Of Exercise Training In Interstitial Lung Disease
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$94,250.00
Summary
The interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) are characterised by shortness of breath, progressive deterioration in exercise tolerance, poor quality of life and reduced life expectancy. Exercise training (ET) is one of few treatments to improve symptoms and QoL in ILD. However the response to ET was variable and dependent on disease type and severity. The aim of this study is to establish the effect of ET in ILD and to identify whether there is optimal timing for maximal benefit to be obtained.
Train High Eat Low For Osteoarthritis (THE LO Study): A Randomised Controlled Trial
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$592,496.00
Summary
Generic lifestyle prescriptions are both insufficient and unrealistic in a cohort that is obese and markedly impaired in mobility and activity level due to lower extremity pain and abnormalities of gait. Therefore this study will design and test for the first time a novel, evidence-based lifestyle modification program which targets all of the treatable etiologic factors in knee OA: low Glycemic Index/Glycemic Load (GI/GL) diet, high intensity strength training and gait training.
Benefits And Costs Of Home-based Pulmonary Rehabilitation In Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
Funding Amount
$364,361.00
Summary
Pulmonary rehabilitation is a highly effective treatment for people with the chronic lung disease known as COPD, but in Australia it is delivered to less than 1% of those who would benefit each year. This study will test a new, entirely home-based pulmonary rehabilitation model, and compare its benefits and costs to a standard hospital program. If home-based pulmonary rehabilitation can be delivered successfully at low cost, this will improve the health and quality of life of people with COPD in ....Pulmonary rehabilitation is a highly effective treatment for people with the chronic lung disease known as COPD, but in Australia it is delivered to less than 1% of those who would benefit each year. This study will test a new, entirely home-based pulmonary rehabilitation model, and compare its benefits and costs to a standard hospital program.
