Translating zoo visitors’ behavioural intentions into conservation actions using evidence-based post-visit experiences. This project will extend and improve the effectiveness of zoo conservation education initiatives by developing post-visit web-based learning experiences. It will enable zoos to play a greater role in developing an environmentally literate society, motivate collective action for wildlife conservation and measure achievement of mission objectives.

This project aims to examine the work and study cultures of architecture in Australia, in relation to professional identity, and in terms of impact on wellbeing, with a whole-of-career scope spanning education to retirement. It will generate the first comprehensive account of work-related wellbeing problems for both architectural practitioners and students, via qualitative and quantitative methods and a vigorous engagem ....Architectural Work Cultures: professional identity, education and wellbeing. This project researches the contribution of public art to eco-sustainable development, focusing on world’s best practice and potential benefits to Sydney and cities in general. It seeks to establish how the arts can promote environmentally beneficial behaviour change and the development of green infrastructure.
'Sea change' communities: inter-generational perception and sense of place. The aim of this research is to establish a more rigorous method of evaluating the impact of the sea change process on the built and natural environments of coastal settlements. It will assist those communities to implement effective, place-sensitive sustainable planning and associated development practices.
Transforming building environmental design: streamlining environmental decision-making for building designers. The project will significantly reduce national energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions associated with the construction and operation of new and existing buildings. This will help to reduce the potential impacts of climate change on Australians and provides a highly cost-effective solution for mitigating and adapting to climate change.
Evaluating 21st century learning environments. As yet there is little rigorous evidence attesting to the efficacy of which learning environments are the most appropriate for 21st century learning in a digital and knowledge age. This project will evaluate technology-enhanced learning environments, which will determine how effective they are in the senior secondary and higher education sectors.
Designing sound for health and wellbeing. Up to 5 million Australian Emergency patients per annum may benefit from research to be conducted by composers and musicians from the School of Art, RMIT University and medical practitioners and clinical health psychologists based in the Emergency Department at St. Vincent's Hospital - Melbourne. Researchers will investigate whether soundtracks and musical compositions developed for Emergency patients can lower levels of anxiety.
