Putting humanities to work in a chaotic world: dynamic interdisciplinarity and community engagement. This project will rethink theories and methods in humanities and social sciences so that they can make a more direct contribution to the community. It will build stronger interdisciplinarity across these various fields. It will incorporate ideas from science, from chaos theory, to make it more powerful and science-friendly. Promoting ethical non-violent relationships of young women and men. The research aims to contribute to the prevention of sexual violence between young women and men aged 16-25years to promote their ability to live healthy, productive and fulfilling lives. It will provide a multidisciplinary approach to developing an evaluated educational training programme based on young people's experiences of sexual intimacy, sexuality and anti-violence education, delivery of a training programme in three rura ....Promoting ethical non-violent relationships of young women and men. The Changing Rights to Family Life in Australia: Biomedicine and Legal Governance in Globalisation. This project investigates the impact of globalisation and biomedicine on the constitution of family through a cultural study of legal processes. It compares two contrasting and currently contested cases in Australia (transnational surrogacy arrangements and family reunification in immigration) to study the biomedicalisation of parenthood, the role of reproduction in border politics and legal trans ....The Changing Rights to Family Life in Australia: Biomedicine and Legal Governance in Globalisation. This project will explore how parents, educators and primary age children understand sexual knowledge and develop skills in ethical and respectful relationships. This will involve analysing policy and curricula documents, interviews and focus groups with parents, educators and children from South Australia, Victoria and NSW.
