Summary
Vaccination during pregnancy has health benefits for mothers and their infants; however, it is a relatively new area of research, and the immediate and long-term consequences for children are currently not well understood. As part of this fellowship, I plan to conduct research into the long-term health impacts of vaccination during pregnancy. This fellowship will build my career as a perinatal epidemiologist and establish expertise in Australia related to vaccines given during pregnancy.

Summary
Heart disease accounts for a great number of deaths and admissions to hospital. We aim to improve ongoing prevention for people with heart disease by supporting general practices to use their data and provide more systematic care. We propose a randomised trial to determine whether a practice level strategy reduces cardiovascular events and hospitalisations and saves money. The research will directly inform government decision-making and policy regarding primary care incentive payment programs.

Summary
In the assessment of gains resulting from a health technology, it is standard to consider both mortality and quality of life effects. This project explores how Australians value different components of quality of life. To do this, we are running an online survey called a discrete choice experiment, and analysing the data using a range of cutting-edge econometric techniques. This will allow policy-makers to better reflect people's preferences when making decisions about new technologies.

This project will contribute to improved outcomes in governance, inclusion and intersectoral collaboration within organisations and institutions in Port Augusta, South Australia in order that they can better address the social determinants of health as they affect Aboriginal people.
Social auditing for positive change and indigenous life-world experiences in the resource rich Pilbara. Roebourne is an impoverished Indigenous community in the heart of the booming resource industries of the Pilbara. The town symbolises the challenges and opportunities for contemporary Australia. This project has been initiated by the Ngarluma and Yjindibarndi Peoples and will be co-funded and directed by these Peoples. The Project will adapt and extend approaches developed by Indigenous commun ....Social auditing for positive change and indigenous life-world experiences in the resource rich Pilbara.
