GNT 1093311 entitled 'Formulation of a pan-species, multi-stage vaccine for the malaria eradication agenda' seeks to undertake the preclinical development of a saccharide conjugate vaccine directed towards all major species and stages of malaria. The objectives are: (i) to undertake the synthesis of the vaccine construct; (ii) to compare immunogenicity, formulation and efficacy of various vaccine constructs with a view to down-selecting the optimal combination to take to human clinical trial.
Middle Years Transition, Engagement and Achievement in Mathematics - The MYTEAM Project. It is a Commonwealth policy objective that all students attain essential numeracy skills. Investigating the effectiveness of teacher education for early career teachers in diverse settings: a longitudinal study. This project investigates the effectiveness of teacher education programs in Victoria and Queensland in preparing teachers for the variety of school settings in which they begin their careers. The findings will inform state and national policy, as well as the work of professional regulation authorities and teacher education providers.

Mobilising media for sustainable outcomes in the Pacific region. Almost 25 per cent of Australia's total aid budget will be spent in Pacific Island countries this year. In collaboration with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation the project will research the use of media and communication for development in the Pacific to increase our understanding of the region and inform practices that will improve the development outcomes from Australia's aid funding.
