Summary
Burqas, borders and babies: intimate citizenship in postcolonial Australia. Anti-Muslim sentiment across the globe is increasingly expressed on the grounds that Muslims are misogynistic, raising questions about Muslims' intimate relations. This project will investigate the ways that Muslim intimacy has become a site of political contestation in Australia with implications for migrant security and border security.
Incentivising On Country Aboriginal Employment: Anangu Futures. . This project aims to investigate the changing face of cultural tourism in central Australia and examine pathways towards sustainable aboriginal employment in and around Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The repatriation of ancestral remains is an extraordinary Indigenous achievement and inter-cultural development of the past 40 years. This international project will provide critical new knowledge to understand repatriation, its history and effects and will provide scholarly and public outcomes that empower community-based research and practice.

Demographic and socio-economic trends, along with changes in housing policy, have resulted in increased reliance on the private rental sector. This has led to growing concerns about its capacity to respond. Our understanding of the supply dynamics of this tenure, and particularly that of low rent housing, is underdeveloped.
