This project will explore the significant African-American influences on the rise of the 1920s Aboriginal political movement. Previously undisclosed material revealed over the past two years has necessitated a re-evaluation of early Australian Aboriginal political history. Why was the history of the rise of early Aboriginal political activism missing ....The Aboriginal Fight for Liberty and Freedom - The hidden history of African-American influence on the 1920s rise of Aboriginal political activism. This project will explore the significant African-American influences on the rise of the 1920s Aboriginal political movement. Previously undisclosed material revealed over the past two years has necessitated a re-evaluation of early Australian Aboriginal political history. Why was the history of the rise of early Aboriginal political activism missing for some five decades? Why were significant relationships with high profile African-American identities obscured and erased from memories?
