2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

    Medicines & medical devices constitute a significant cost to Australia’s health care system. Adverse events resulting from their use are similarly a significant expense that could be reduced by the development of Australia's capacity to use linked health data-sets to detect & monitor adverse events. This Centre aims to develop capacity, methods, knowledge & tools to enhance post-marketing surveillance systems to improve information on medicine & device safety, effectiveness & utilisation.

The Centre for Research Excellence in Digital Health brings together for the first time the major Australian centres of e-health research to tackle the fundamental challenges that impede the creation of truly safe, efficient and effective digital health services.

    This CRE is innovative because it brings new Aboriginal knowledge and perspectives into services for Aboriginal people. Led by Aboriginal researchers, the CRE will develop ways to empower Aboriginal people both as research leaders and how they engage with services. It will focus on positive pathways and overcome barriers to successful implementation to produce better health and wellbeing for all Aboriginal people.

    Summary
    Medicines have an important place in health and are commonly used for long periods, sometimes life-long. Using medicines wisely requires a careful balance between benefits and harmful effects. Currently, there is limited information to guide medicines use over a lifetime. Using large linked datasets, the CRE in Medicines and Ageing will generate much needed evidence about real world medicines use to support clinical and pharmaceutical policy decisions.

    Centre Of Research Excellence In Women's Health In The 21st Century

    The goals of the Centre of Research Excellence in Women’s Health in the 21st Century are to examine how changes in the health system impact on women’s health and how changes in women’s lives impact on their health and health care needs. This research program will focus on four priority health issues of particular relevance to women: reproductive health, mental health, cardiovascular conditions and musculoskeletal problems; and use data from the Australian Longitudinal Study on Women’s Health.
