This project will map the humanities in the Asia region and identify opportunities for strengthening collaboration between researchers in Australia and Asia. The project will collate and analyse available data to inform future strategies for international research collaboration in the humanities; examine research capacity, priorities and trends, and policy developments in the humanities in select Asian countries; investigate ....The humanities in the Asia region: capacity for research collaboration. We will do this by extending ties with researchers from the region including early career and students and by developing a comparative cross-cultural methodology capable of encompassing specific socio-historical patterns and processes of dynamically changing public cultural formations in contemporary urban centres in the Asia-Pacific, including Australia.
