2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

The Cost-effectiveness Of Early Resuscitation Of Sepsis In Australia - An Economic Evaluation Alongside The ARISE-RCT

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $115,971.00
    Summary
Critical care treatment is expensive and consumes a significant portion of hospital resources. This study will collect cost, survival and quality of life data on a group of sepsis patients enrolled in a trial of strict protocolised treatment versus standard care (the ARISE study). This information will be used to determine how much it costs for each additional survivor with protocolised treatment, and how much it costs for each quality adjusted life year gained with protocolised treatment.

    Summary

Improving Patient Outcomes Through Understanding And Changing Transfusion Practice

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $75,347.00
    Summary
Blood transfusion has a central role in many areas of clinical medicine. Despite its widespread use, there are large areas where evidence to inform clinical practice is limited. The aim of this proposed research is to investigate the current use of blood products in clinical medicine. Data on blood transfusion will be linked with existing clinical registries to examine how transfusion practice influences patient outcomes in a range of clinical areas including trauma, surgery and critical care.

Examining The Interface Between Complementary And Alternative Medicine Use And Provision And Rural General Practice.

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $85,580.00
    Summary
The project aims to improve rural health outcomes by investigating practices and perspectives of rural general practitioners (GPs) regarding complementary medicine (CAM). CAM use is highest in rural areas and this could have potential safety issues when combined with conventional healthcare. The results will better equip rural health providers coordinate and manage healthcare for their patients, avoid potential complications and give rural GPs a perspective on managing challenges posed by CAM.
