The World Legal Information Institute European law collection: effective access to European legal information in English for Australian researchers. This facility will provide the most comprehensive collection of free access English language databases of European legal materials (both national and supra-national) and allow citations of European cases and articles to be tracked, improving Australian research in European law.

The Australasian Legal History Library: Creating historical depth in legal data on AustLII, to improve all legal research. The Australasian Legal History Library, to be located for free access on AustLII, will provide comprehensive legislation and case law from all colonies (subsequently Australian States, Territories or New Zealand) up to 1950. Its citator will show how these historical materials are used in current legal decisions. It will be a revolution for legal history research.
Australia's first bill of rights: Assessing the impact of the Australian Capital Territory's Human Rights Act. The ACT is about to adopt Australia's first bill of rights, the ACT Human Rights Act. This project will document and analyse the implementation of this historic law through its effect on executive and legislative policy and its interpretation by the judicial system. It will develop impact assessment frameworks and protocols for the assessment of compliance with these rights. This project will investigate how small States are using law of the sea dispute settlement mechanisms to gain political advantages in conflicts with greater powers, including Security Council permanent members. It is important to understand how the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea can be leveraged to defend coastal State rights in strategic disputes concerning sovereign rights, unresolved boundaries, and military affairs. ....Small States' use of law of the sea litigation against greater powers.
