Securing the data. This project will develop an integrated facility to support a collaborative research centre of government and university partners for research to better address priority issues in the fields of health, education, policing, and community services. The restricted access facility will allow researchers to remotely analyse confidential data in a secure environment.
Development and evaluation of a web-based decision and safety planning aid for women experiencing domestic violence (I-DECIDE). This project will develop and evaluate a web-based intervention process which enables women experiencing domestic violence to consider their safety planning and support options, reach a carefully thought through decision (reflecting their personal priorities) and then make appropriate plans safely for themselves and their children.

This project will examine cross-cultural institutions created in the context of development, planning and management interventions. The proposed collaboration will support two APAI scholars to research the social and cultural processes whereby such institutions engage local communities in resource mapping, planning and decision-making. A recurring contemporary theme across many social science disciplines is the significant role of social networks in shaping the course of interpersonal interactions and their cascading social consequences. The determinants of educational achievement in Australia. This project examines the causes of inequality of access to university places in Australia, with particular reference to the influence of household financial resources. The key hypothesis is that these resources shape the capacity of families to enrol their children in high performance secondary schools, either through attendance at private schools or through the capacity to reside in locations with access to top state schools.
