Summary
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major cause of death and imposes a substantial burden on individuals and the healthcare system worldwide. In partnership with patients, this project will establish and implement core outcomes and measures. Patient-centred trials will address the research priorities of patients across all stages of CKD including: preventing the progression of CKD, improving fatigue in patients on dialysis, and optimising life participation in kidney transplant recipients.

Creating an efficient health insurance system is a key policy concern in all developed countries. This project aims to study choices, consumer behaviors, and policy challenges in two health insurance markets: Australian private health insurance (PHI) and US Medicare prescription drug insurance.

A parenting program to improve Aboriginal parent and child wellbeing. This project aims to develop and implement a culturally safe, trauma-informed parenting program that can interrupt the intergenerational transmission of trauma and help improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing, parenting, and parent-child relationships.
