This project aims to use a novel proteomic approach to examine mechanisms of apoptosis at the level of the plasma membrane, mitochondrion, nucleus and cytosol, screening protein extracts of cell organelles by the new technique of SELDI-TOF mass spectrometry in which proteins are adsorbed onto activated chips. This project examines how gender justice is addressed in United Nations peacebuilding policy and practice.

This project will assist in the processes of reconciliation, by fostering a sense of a shared history, and increasing public awareness of the complexity of race relations histories in Australia. It will redress a significant gap in Australian knowledge and literature.
