The Fontan operation is the last of a series of operations performed for babies born with a single pumping heart chamber (ventricle). In the largest research of its kind, the Australia and New Zealand Fontan Registry partners with Heartkids, the parents’ association and the National Heart Foundation are intending to improve their life as they step into adulthood.
