2026 ARDC Annual Survey is now open!

The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure services including Reasearch Link Australia.

We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.

Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Complete the 5 min survey now by clicking on the link below.

Restoration Of Diabetes Associated Cognitive Deficits Through The Modulation Of Cerebrovascular Integrity

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $430,998.00
    Summary
Diabetes is known to increase the risk of dementia. Although the mechanisms are currently unknown, a recently emerging body of evidence suggest that damaged blood vessels of the brain may be central to onset and progress of cognitive dysfunction. Consistently, the dysfunction of brain blood vessels is often observed in the brain of diabetes subjects. Therefore, this project will investigate whether the amelioration of disrupted brain blood vessels restores the cognitive function in diabetes.

Developing The Epidemiological Evidence Base For Eczema Prevention

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $476,728.00
    Summary
Eczema, food allergy, asthma and hay-fever are all common conditions that are a substantial burden for individuals and families. To prevent them, we need to know their causes, but these are not yet well understood. We need better studies to identify what is causing our children to develop these allergic diseases, and rigorous studies to prevent them. In this fellowship, I will explore the causes and consequences of these conditions and test ways to prevent children from developing them.

Developing Personalised Treatment For Retinal Degeneration

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $262,220.00
    Summary
Dr Chen seeks a clinical CDF1 to support his ambition in combining his expertise in clinical management of retinal diseases with a growing track record of clinical trials and laboratory science to develop treatment for retinal degeneration. This is achieved through a patient-centred translational platform that he has established. In the next 5 years, He will identify the most suitable method for measuring progression and develop personalised therapy for a phase I clinical trial.

International Strategies To Reduce Population Salt Intake

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $428,065.00
    Summary
Effective, sustainable and scalable strategies to reduce salt are needed so countries can achieve the global target to reduce salt by 30% by 2025. This research program will support the optimal development of such strategies through trials and intervention research projects, supplemented through a series of systematic reviews and feasibility and cost-effectiveness assessments. The main outcome will be new evidence on the effectiveness of different interventions to support translation globally.

Clinical Role Of Pressure Waveform Analysis

    Funder
National Health and Medical Research Council
    Funding Amount
    $387,489.00
    Summary
A pressure pulse may be felt at the wrist with every heart beat. New technology allows the analysis of this pulse and provides information that may help doctors make decisions about a patients risk related to blood pressure as well as the effect of drug treatment. The research aims to determine the clinical significance of pressure pulse analysis at rest and during light exercise. It is expected that the new technology will improve the way people with high blood pressure are treated.
