Design and Art Australia Online: Sustainable data sharing for Australian researchers and collections. This project will produce a comprehensive and authorative research facility of national and international signi?cance. The enhanced Design and Art Australia Online facility will provide crucial information pertaining to Australia’s art and design heritage that will be open for researchers of all levels, from school students through to higher-education researchers.
The Derwent project: immersive digital media visualisations for the representational problems of complex and remote environments. The Derwent Project will create new ways to visualise the complex natural and cultural history of Tasmania’s Derwent River system. This vast and often inaccessible environment includes Aboriginal and colonial heritage alongside ten hydroelectric developments. Its multiple layers of space and time present new opportunities to synthesise artistic and scientific paradigm ....The Derwent project: immersive digital media visualisations for the representational problems of complex and remote environments. Universities and Postwar Recovery 1943-57. This project aims to investigate the impact and transformative effect of the university education-led recovery in postwar Australia from 1943 to 1957. It will do so by undertaking a collective biographical survey of 6,500 ex-service men and women university graduates funded under the Commonwealth Reconstruction Training Scheme. It expects to generate new knowledge in the area of Australian history, especially the history of war repatriation, the develop ....Universities and Postwar Recovery 1943-57. Analysis of these in current populations is impractical given the considerable time it would take for a prospective study to unfold. This project will add to our understanding of the content and purpose of philosophy within 'higher education' in the eastern Roman Empire in the period 300-500 CE. Since there are many ways in which the late Empire resembles our own time, this understanding illuminates the place of philosophy in what we call higher education.
