The Australian Mosque Today: Architectural Collaborations. This project aims to investigate collaborations between architects and Muslim communities in Australia. The project will analyze ten mosques, from design consultation through to construction, completed since 2000. This focus on the professional design process will provide innovative insights into creative collaboration and cross-cultural engagement. This project aims to determine the best ways to communicate wine research and to design tools to support research adoption. Adoption of research relies on effective use of information and technology by employees. Research into employees’ information practices in the workplace has been conducted in health care, education and other areas; however, the wine industry’s use of information and technology for adoption is unexplored. The project plans to assess the strategies used to share research with winemakers and grape growers (e.g. seminars, websites, social media), from information behaviour or web useability perspectives, to ensure industry needs are met appropriately. This research aims to have a direct and immediate impact on the wine industry. In addition to the immediate impact of new research innovations that will be implemented by our partner wine companies, the project will also change industry-wide approaches to extension. Resolving the mechanics of wind turbine noise production. This project will investigate how wind turbines produce noise. It will do this by developing the most sophisticated wind turbine noise experiment in the world, which will allow the construction of better designed wind farms, better public policy and new noise control technologies.
Just spaces: security without prejudice in the wireless courtroom. How do jurors respond to seeing defendants in a glass cage, in a traditional wooden dock or at the Bar table? The project will examine how courtroom design shapes attitudes; and, bringing together court executives, architects and researchers, will show how flexible wireless courtrooms can meet both security and human rights standards.

The common source of noise generation among these technologies is the airfoil, yet we do not understand how they create noise in real, complex environments.
