Confronting everyday harms: preventing abuse of people with disability. The findings of the Disability Royal Commission necessitate new approaches to prevent violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. The mammalian kidney receives more oxygen than it uses or needs, and yet renal tissue is commonly found to be hypoxic.
