A Web-Based Humanities Image Database and Descriptive Catalogue for Academic, Industry and Community Application. This research develops a web-based visual database and catalogue with associated, annotatable explanatory text files, that is suitable for input and access by academics, industry and the general community. The catalogue’s information input and search mechanisms will respond to the needs of relevant Humanities disciplines for which image collection and analysis is a critical research ....A Web-Based Humanities Image Database and Descriptive Catalogue for Academic, Industry and Community Application. This research develops a web-based visual database and catalogue with associated, annotatable explanatory text files, that is suitable for input and access by academics, industry and the general community. The catalogue’s information input and search mechanisms will respond to the needs of relevant Humanities disciplines for which image collection and analysis is a critical research tool. Its design aims to encourage user communities to contribute images and text efficiently, effectively and confidently, and guarantees the security of their images through application of a tag system. Indigenous Tourism in the South West Region of Western Australia: a case study analysis from a Nyungar Perspective. This proposal seeks to: create a southern Australian Indigenous Tourism inventory that emphasises the distinct regional tourism characteristics and preferences. This would be the first academic research undertaking of its kind in this area; establish a series of case studies and best practice scenarios that highlight regional opportunities; and identify relevant ?partnerships? tha ....Indigenous Tourism in the South West Region of Western Australia: a case study analysis from a Nyungar Perspective. This proposal seeks to: create a southern Australian Indigenous Tourism inventory that emphasises the distinct regional tourism characteristics and preferences. This would be the first academic research undertaking of its kind in this area; establish a series of case studies and best practice scenarios that highlight regional opportunities; and identify relevant ?partnerships? that support Nyungar tourist development both from mainstream and Aboriginal partners; establish a web site to act as a WA resource for Indigenous tourism operations. Understanding cross-cultural consumer behaviour and implications for effective segmentation, targeting and positioning of Western Australia as a tourism destination. This research extends a model of cross-cultural consumer behaviour suggested by the first CI (Lee, 2000) that provides richer specification of the antecedents of people's actions than previously suggested models. The model will be compared with these models, which have been successful in Western, but less successful in Eastern, cult ....Understanding cross-cultural consumer behaviour and implications for effective segmentation, targeting and positioning of Western Australia as a tourism destination. This research extends a model of cross-cultural consumer behaviour suggested by the first CI (Lee, 2000) that provides richer specification of the antecedents of people's actions than previously suggested models. The model will be compared with these models, which have been successful in Western, but less successful in Eastern, cultures. The model will be tested in the tourism domain to predict intentions and behaviour of potential visitors. Results will be used to improve the effectiveness of Western Australia's tourism marketing. Distribution and origin of 4 billion-year-old zircons from Western Australia: Implications for the early history of the earth and moom. We aim to determine the distribution and origin of >4 billion year old (Ga) zircons in rocks from north-western Western Australia, using geological mapping, mineralogical and chemical techniques and SHRIMP zircon geochronology. In this research, we will collaborate with international research groups also intending to investigate the early history of the Earth using the >4Ga zircons.
