The Fellowship develops a new quantitative and qualitative understanding of the experiential and semiotic characteristics of buildings. The project, assisted by developments in robotics technology, produces a leading-edge computational model for analysing complex and non-linear patterns in architectural space, form and program from a social and cultural perspective. It comes under two Commonwealth Research Priority Areas: Environmentally Sustainable Au ....Contemporary Australian Identity, Memory and Heritage. This Network brings together key researchers and practitioners interested in the nature and evolution of Australian identity, memory and heritage, including heritage and museum professionals, and scholars in environmental studies, history, geography, cultural studies, Aboriginal studies, architecture, urban policy, archaeology and materials conservation. Using data gathered from Australian ports, life-cycle predictions will be developed, simulating durability and incorporating geographical location, structure type, composition, and levels of maintenance.
