The Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) invites you to participate in a short survey about your
interaction with the ARDC and use of our national research infrastructure and services. The survey will take
approximately 5 minutes and is anonymous. It’s open to anyone who uses our digital research infrastructure
services including Reasearch Link Australia.
We will use the information you provide to improve the national research infrastructure and services we
deliver and to report on user satisfaction to the Australian Government’s National Collaborative Research
Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) program.
Please take a few minutes to provide your input. The survey closes COB Friday 29 May 2026.

Innovation Management Strategies and Practices to Accelerate the Commercialisation Process in the Biotechnology Industry. The innovation cycle is a complex and misunderstood area of management, particularly in the Biotechnology Industry where the innovation cycle can take up to 15 years. The management literature provides anecdotal information, however, lacks theoretical models which provide guidance to Managers on how to shorten the innovation process. The innovation cycle is a complex and misunderstood area of management, particularly in the Biotechnology Industry where the innovation cycle can take up to 15 years. The management literature provides anecdotal information, however, lacks theoretical models which provide guidance to Managers on how to shorten the innovation process. Therefore, the aim of this PhD research, which is "a world first", is to develop and test an innovation cycle model through quantitative and qualitative research. Expected outcomes include developing a valid and reliable model for measuring and predicting relationships between innovation practice and innovation performance and developing case studies for teaching purposes.Read moreRead less

Structural biology is undergoing a worldwide revolution, enabling an enormous acceleration in the rate of protein structure determination. Australia currently lacks facilities to enable this high throughput approach to structural biology. We plan to establish a facility that addresses this deficiency and will enable the structure determination of hundreds of new proteins per year. It will contribute significantly to structural biology research in Queensland and elsewhere in Australia and also to allied fields of biotechnology, including drug discovery, bioinformatics, molecular design and functional genomics.Read moreRead less

The convergence of nanotechnology with biotechnology offers unprecedented opportunities to prepare nanomaterials with defined structure and function on the nanometre scale. However, the small length scales involved in nanomaterials present challenges in their characterisation, and in turn, their interaction with biological systems. The Advanced NanoBiomaterials Imaging Facility will provide state-of-the-art equipment for examining the properties of nanomaterials and their interaction with biosystems. The equipment will facilitate the development of new materials that are expected to underpin advances in drug delivery, diagnostics and implant devices, further strengthening Australia's strong reputation in these areas.Read moreRead less

The ARC Facility for the Analysis of Biomacromolecular Interactions at the University of Wollongong and ANU serves many research groups working at the interface of chemistry and biology with the ultimate aim of drug target identification and drug development. New state-of-the-art instrumentation will enhance their capabilities and enable new activities. Specifically, the new instruments will facilitate characterization of macromolecular complexes and enable rapid and precise study in real time of the rates at which molecules interact, under many different experimental conditions. It will strengthen existing collaborations among the partner institutions and provide essential infrastructure for drug development projects.Read moreRead less
