This project analyses the circumstances under which leaders choose transparency and how their decisions and their reputations for transparency affect followers' behaviour and overall group cooperation.

The results will show how material well-being relates to stages in the life cycle, to family types, and to relative affluence and relative poverty. This project examines Zhejiang Province, one of the most innovative in policy. It promises to yield rich insights into retirement policy formulation in China.
