Palladium Based Mobile Agent System for Collaborative Environments. This project aims to (a) develop a Palladium based mobile agent methodology and System for collaborative environments and to (b) construct a testbed that involves the creation of Palladium and mobile agent system to test it on "Virtual Community", that is, a real commercial application provided by our partner investigator for proof of concept.

While location-based services have taken off in Europe, they are still at their infancy in Australia. In terms of IT access, Australia is ranked lower than many Asian countries. Our work gains an understanding of users' concerns and expectations of location-based services, which leads to better application designs and thus ....Location-Based Personalisation in Mobile Commerce (M-Commerce). Grid-enabled fusion of global data and local knowledge – applying the INWA Grid to eResearch links with China. This project extends a model of eResearch that has been demonstrated between the UK and Australia in a collaboration between the UK National eScience Centre and Curtin University that modelled consumer behaviour in telecommunications and financial services markets using Grid technologies. The INWA (Innovation Node – Western Australia) Grid was extended to the Chinese Academy of Sciences ....Grid-enabled fusion of global data and local knowledge – applying the INWA Grid to eResearch links with China. This project extends a model of eResearch that has been demonstrated between the UK and Australia in a collaboration between the UK National eScience Centre and Curtin University that modelled consumer behaviour in telecommunications and financial services markets using Grid technologies. The INWA (Innovation Node – Western Australia) Grid was extended to the Chinese Academy of Sciences in January 2005 and now offers the potential for applying these techniques to emerging markets within China. Prototypes of three flexible computer-based systems will be iteratively developed and evaluated for their support of knowledge workers in three different industries.
