Dependable Distributed Enterprises and Services. Distributed systems (clusters, grids, peer-to-peer) are the mainstay of many new applications. This has the potential of providing consumers with much more timely, accurate, and comprehensive information on which to base major decisions in financial, medical, and other areas. This has the potential of providing consumers with much more timely, accurate, and comprehensive information on which to base major decisions in financial, medical, and other areas. As with any new technology, related applications should be designed and implemented in such a way that users can depend on the application's availability and results, which is the main focus of this network. The CIs will collaborate in several ways, ranging from basic research to applications, to enable the creation and maintenance of highly dependable computer systems and networked applications.

Australian e-Research Grid. The e-Research Grid program will research and implement core Grid technologies on APAC and partner's deployed HPC resources, to underpin a broad range of Australian research. The computer science CIs will form collaborative links with international programs, adapting developments to local circumstances. The applications-domain CIs will leverage those into their scientific simulations and databases, using grid integrative techniques and portals. Many CIs participate in ....Australian e-Research Grid. The e-Research Grid program will research and implement core Grid technologies on APAC and partner's deployed HPC resources, to underpin a broad range of Australian research. The computer science CIs will form collaborative links with international programs, adapting developments to local circumstances. The applications-domain CIs will leverage those into their scientific simulations and databases, using grid integrative techniques and portals. Many CIs participate in other RNs linking to their motivating applications, enhancing prospects for research and integration. Adoption of electronic commerce-enabled supply chain management: a trans-national comparison study. The framework developed will allow practitioners to identify an appropriate strategy to promote the adoption of EC-enabled SCM in developing countries. By including Indonesia and China as two of Australia's large trading partners in this study, the relationships can be further enhanced, leading to an increase in Australia's export market and improvement in national productivity and growth. A novel Internet-based clinical trial service. The best way to test whether a clinical treatment intervention is effective is a randomised controlled trial (rct). Rcts are expensive, both in terms of resources and time. The internet may provide a method of conducting rcts which is efficent and provides access to those in remote communities. The purpose of this project is to assess the feasibility of developing a structure for conducting rcts using the internet.
