They will reconstruct the sources, dust loads and trajectories of these storms, and examine how dust affects urban air pollution. Investigations of sand beach ridges in northern Australia will considerably reduce the impact of future tropical cyclones on communities. These ridges record a detailed history of cyclones over the past 5,000 years.
