Turning points? Life events and trajectories of later-life loneliness. This project aims to investigate whether and how significant life events generate temporary or sustained changes in loneliness, using rich panel survey data and the collection of in-depth interviews. This project expects to generate new knowledge on dynamics of later-life loneliness using an innovative multi-level, mixed-methods approach examining household and community characteristics that may also shape changes in loneline ....Turning points? Where migrants go: A study of immigrants' post-arrival moves in Australia . The project aims to establish the geographical and occupational trajectories of different migrant groups after arrival in Australia. Migration within Australia is a key driver of economic, demographic and social change. Recognising the growing diversity of immigrants, including the rapid rise in temporary migration, the project examines post-arrival moves of immigrants by visa type, country of birth and year of arrival. ....Where migrants go: A study of immigrants' post-arrival moves in Australia . Migration within Australia is a key driver of economic, demographic and social change. It seeks to improve understanding of the incidence, spatial patterns and drivers of migrants’ movement within Australia and the socio-demographic impact on regions and individuals. This project aims to develop a greater understanding of migrants and the factors that predict poor health outcomes related to blood-borne viruses and sexually transmitted infections. Innovations in Demographic Modelling for Government Analysis and Planning. This project aims to create innovative and cutting-edge demographic models to better meet the needs of practitioners and researchers. Together with the partner organisations, Commonwealth Treasury and the Australian Bureau of Statistics, it will focus on creating more accurate and fit-for-purpose forecasting methods for Australian fertility, mortality, and migration, including a policy scenario model to produce population ....Innovations in Demographic Modelling for Government Analysis and Planning.
