Demographic and life course drivers of social cohesion. The project aims to understand the individual and community-level drivers and pressures on social cohesion in Australia. It is expected to generate new knowledge on how and why individuals become more or less engaged in their communities and society over time by combining information from multiple existing data sources. Carers and social inclusion: new frameworks, evidence and policy lessons. This project aims to improve our understanding of informal carers' social inclusion through new conceptual frameworks, geographical and longitudinal analysis and lessons from international best practice. The outcomes of the project will inform Australia policies fostering social inclusion and the social and economic wellbeing of Australian carers.
Causes and consequences of population turnover in the Northern Territory. The Northern Territory experiences an extraordinarily high rate of population turnover. Approximately one quarter (compared to less than 10% for most other states) of the Territory's resident population in 2001 had lived somewhere else 5 years earlier.
