This project will address the development .... Agile Systems Engineering Processes, Analysis and Design Methods for Distributed, Safety Critical Automotive By-Wire Systems. Systems development for automotive by-wire applications provides a number of challenges. It spans the disciplines of mechanical, control and software engineering, it must be agile enough to cope with changes in technology and changing market conditions and, most important, it must result in safe and reliable By-Wire systems. This project will address the development of safety critical By-Wire systems from a systems and sofwtare engineering viewpoint by: (1) developing modeling and analysis methods for real-time distributed control systems; (2) investigating design methods for such systems, and (3) developing software and systems engineering processes for agile development of By-Wire systems.
