Summary
Analysis of the effectiveness of a Quality Teaching framework in increasing Aboriginal students' educational outcomes. This research will address key elements of the National research priority goals, including Priority 2 & Priority 3 Promoting an innovation culture and economy. This research will make a significant contribution to educators' understanding of ways of increasing Aboriginal students' educational success rates. This research will make a significant contribution to educators' understanding of ways of increasing Aboriginal students' educational success rates. It will enhance the schooling experiences of Aboriginal students and provide teachers with the tools to engage with Aboriginal students in a culturally appropriate and educationally efficacious manner. Improvement in Aboriginal students' educational qualifications will support welfare reform agendas, as higher educational attainment is associated with decreased welfare dependence, which is desired by Indigenous communities and leaders.Read moreRead less

This includes the key arena of education, where the growing number of Chinese intellectuals working in Australian (and Canadian) universities, can assist in replenishing an ageing domestic academic work force,as well as forging international research networks. Governments have made and are continuing to make substantial investments in policies, strategies and research to address the perceived risk of obesity and related health issues. Evaluating the impact of new interdisciplinary interventions to enhance dog health to benefit community health outcomes in remote Indigenous communities. Indigenous health and welfare is of major concern for Australians. This project, which focuses on the dog, also recognises that the dog harbours a number of diseases that can infect humans. The Shallow Teaching Syndrome in School Mathematics - towards practical ways that will engage students more deeply. One of the findings is that an average Australian lesson exhibits the 'shallow teaching syndrome', having relatively lower complexity, higher repetition and less mathematical reasoning than high-achieving countries. Australian governments have made considerable investment in international comparative studies of student achievement in mathematics. This project will interview curriculum leaders and textbook writers, and analyse both traditional textbook and innovative curriculum materials.
