Wideband Strongly-Truncated Composite Cavity-Resonator Antennas. A rapidly growing demand for fast wireless services calls for wideband communication systems with wideband antennas, which are compact, aesthetically appealing and inexpensive, yet have good performance. With novel concepts, this project aims to produce a new class of antennas that deliver impressive performance (bandwidth and gain) while taking up a dramatically reduced area in a way that was impossible before, increasing a figure ....Wideband Strongly-Truncated Composite Cavity-Resonator Antennas. Perceiving and tracking moving objects. Processing and tracking moving objects poses challenges for human perception. To succeed, visual processing must accumulate analyses of the object from its different positions. Perceptual experiments will reveal human limits and yield insights into the underlying mechanisms, providing a basis for understanding object tracking in tasks like driving.
Rarefied hypervelocity separated flow in the transitional to continuum regimes. The transition regime for low-density flows is a no-man's-land between free-molecular and continuum flow, where the flow behaves differently to the assumptions typically used for modelling either flow type. Bird's direct Simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) method is typically thought to be the best way of modelling these flows, but has not produced excellent agreement with previous experiments on low-density separated flow ....Rarefied hypervelocity separated flow in the transitional to continuum regimes.
